Roderick K. West

Roderick K. West is President and CEO of Entergy New Orleans, the electric and gas utility serving Orleans Parish and a subsidiary of Entergy Corporation.

Prior to joining Entergy in 1999, West was senior attorney in the commercial litigation area of law firm Vial, Hamilton, Koch and Knox, LLP. He also has been affiliated with the Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrere and Denegre, LLP, law firm.

West, a native of Baton Rouge, holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, law degree from Tulane University and Master’s degree in business administration from Tulane’s Freeman School of Business.

He is past chairman of the Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors, board vice president for the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, a commissioner of the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad, and a director of both the Allstate Sugar Bowl and Greater New Orleans, Inc. West previously served as chairman of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute and director of the Louisiana Recovery Authority.
